I really appreciated the changing of volume in Eva Cassidy’s voice. First, she says “Somewhere over the rainbow” in a high volume, as she was talking about a famous place. And then, when she whispers “the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true”, it looks like she was telling us a secret. It was really beautiful.

I was truly inspired by the song today and I have done a cover of this song myself. I will now hear it again and see what I feel after our NM session. I really appreciated everyone’s comments! and I also appreciate the 10 seconds to pause before each part. It is really powerful. Thank you so much everyone.

    Here is my text:

    Somewhere…

Somewhere …or here and now, I can see my feelings more clearly
Somewhere…or here and now, I put my well being first
Somewhere…or here and now, I chose to be with someone that values me
Somewhere…or just here and now, I can care about myself first
Somewhere…or just here and now, I value my time to be with people that value it too
Somewhere… or just here and now, I look at my previous choices with more generosity
Somewhere…or just here and now, I see the younger Julia as someone that brought me here with more wisdom
Somewhere… or just here and now, I will look to my past relationship knowing how I could act now that I have been through this
Somewhere… or just now, I see myself with more love
    Now, I love myself first.

  2. Somewhere~~~

Somewhere there is life where smiles are everywhere.
Where there is joy and pride in each other’s successes.
Where children play and giggle with reckless abandon.
Where the Sun warms Mother Earth bringing forth abundance.
    Where there is always hope.
Where there is freedom for all to stretch to their limits.

Where my dreams turn into reality.
Where I am free to be me and that is good enough.
Somewhere, someday I will wake up and my dream will be a reality.
Blue skies, bluebirds all around me,
my spirit floating high above the clouds.

  3. Somewhere…up there, in the clouds, the air is thin and cold, yet thick with possibility. So many possibilities — potential beauty, actual beauty, hazard and heartbreak. Up there, it is heavy and light at the same time, spinning slowly, moving fast, except when things stand still. Stand still to open, to embrace, to cause a sense of wonder below. A sense of wonder…

Somewhere. Oh, those quavers came from somewhere the likes of which are unheard, deep within, remote from the vocal cord vibrations that produced them. They rose…out of the soul! [deep breath]

Lips were not moving, no sign of breathing, yet the words, the sounds and the singer were completely alive! [deep breath]

My lungs moved as deeply into my abdomen as they could go, to a space they never knew, attempting to absorb all that beauty and energy and power needed to take me to the place where I dare to dream the dreams that may, one day, come true. [deep breath and hold…]
