  1. About a moment of powerlessness~~~

I lay breathless on my bed, usually a spot that offered comfort.
My boundless energy was depleted and I felt helpless and so full of panic.
    The pain was intense.
I had to seek the help of others, for the situation was beyond my control.
    Or maybe it never was.
I summoned help, giving up my voice so others could speak for me.
They were now to make the decisions because my mind was frozen over in a panic.

How to resume normality when you are scared halfway to death.
This memory lingers on, refusing to be dismissed.

Write about a moment of power or powerlessness

The distortion occurring in corporate medical practice
    Exerts a hegemony
Over those who know what the job is
Knowing where to place the brush on the canvas
Knowing and daring to paint outside the lines
    Letting the colors bleed together
Because they know that what is in the interest of those needing care
Is not what’s best for the corporation
    Set blindly on traipsing
    Over the stage of care
Toward a horizon that it deems important.

There are some song lyrics that go something like this..”if only I could change the world.” It sounds like your speaker has set out to do just that. If enough voices speak the same words or use the same brush strokes… maybe change will indeed occur.
