Thank you to everyone who joined us for this session!

For this session we look a close look at the short animation film titled “Bitzbutz” by Gil Alkabetz , posted below.

Our prompt was: Write or draw a time you felt eaten up inside.

Participants are warmly encouraged to share what you wrote below (“Leave a Reply”), to keep the conversation going here, bearing in mind that the blog of course is a public space where confidentiality is not assured.

Also, we would love to learn more about your experience of these sessions, so if you’re able, please take the time to fill out a follow-up survey of one to two quick questions!

Please join us for our next session Friday October 7th at 12 pm EDT, with more times listed on our Live Virtual Group Sessions.

  1. A time I felt eaten up inside~~~

Enclosed in a box… solid walls, darkness flooding in from the shadows
Air hangs densely, too thick to inhale
Thoughts running amuck, scattered about within the mind…zig-zagging… imbalance of the spirit

Moment by moment, day by day, the box shrinks about me until there is no air to breathe,
there is no space to be alive

I revolt… I punch through the barriers and see the world around me
I take deep breaths of the brisk, fresh air
I am alive again, free again

Well, I redrew my drawing in dark charcoal to make it more visible, as people had trouble viewing it last night, and wanted to post it here, but can’t figure out how to upload or insert it. As I did the drawing, some text came, so I’ll share that. I uploaded it to my art page on FB, and not sure this will work, but try this if you want to see it: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=582396360207693&set=a.512625833851413

    Well, eff you!
    I may be crying today,
But I won’t be dying here.
    That will be you.
