    Describe Your Own Heaven

    my life feeling unfettered
    undefeated, indestructible
as if -I could fall from clouds
    and still
    all would be – okay
if even I became ash or dust
    in wind
    no fear but love
    my heart touching yours
    no time no space
    between

  3. My heaven~~~

I see the world below, a world I left behind. One filled with distrust, hatred, dirty street corners, and burned-out lights.
Here the air is clean, invigorating and the light is shining brightly. There are no dark shadows.
    Lush green surrounds me.
This place gives me a second chance to get it right where I have faltered.
I float almost, lightweight in my spirit.

There is no evil but equanimity for all who inhabit this space.
I have all I want, I long for nothing,
except maybe to one day see those I left behind.
Here, I rest soundly, I am at peace for I have received what I sought.

A twist on – Describe your own heaven
When I reached Sampa’s in-laws, I didn’t know that her father-in-law stopped dialysis 2 days back. I wouldn’t have come if I knew. Everyone said hello and left to fix lunch. I was alone with him, trying to look busy. He asked – Rita, do you believe in life after death? I suppose, he was asking me about heaven. What should I say? What did he want to hear? I didn’t know what to say – I didn’t believe. I was saved by his wife saying, “lunch is ready!”

    Describe your own heaven

    Beatific vision
    Light that made Moses shine
and threw the one born abnormal from a horse
and turned Ark raiders to ash.
    Peace.
    Love like you never knew.
    Transcendence of time and space.
    Never missing loved ones.
    Love ever present.
    Never absent.
    Abounding.
    Embracing always
    one’s residence
    within God’s point of view.
