Something unfinished – a half painted portrait waiting for its layers to be revealed, or even a half-eaten visually pleasing sandwich, with it’s grand smell, great texture, hint of lingering taste and whisper of promise can also be unfinished…

  2. About something unfinished~~~

My eyes peer out resolutely at the world.
Scattered bits and pieces of humanity,
tearing and ripping at each other.
Distrust, envy, hatred piercing the air and hearts.

What will become of us when it is our time to climb aboard the Ark?
Will we realize the error of our ways and walk with kindness and understanding as those did before us?
What will it take for life to come into focus?
To truly see each other without filters on.

This virus and it’s consequences are not finished with us.
Moral and societal injustices are not finished with us.
Ecological and environmental problems are not finished with us.
Political challenges are not finished with us.

Is there still time to repair this world?
    I don’t know.
    I hope so.
    I don’t know.
    We can try.
    I don’t know.
    Maybe it’s too late.

    I don’t know.
    I don’t know.
    I don’t know.
    We must try.
    We must try.
    We must try.

“We must try” … without the willingness to do just that, civilization as we know it will be doomed. We need the optimists to come forward and direct action.
